BC / Before Christ
Before giving my life to Jesus Christ, I lived on the dark side of life, doing things that I later would be ashamed of; but on the day I gave my life to Jesus - my sins were washed away - the shame, the guilt - all the sins of my past were cast into the sea of God's immeasurable mercy and forgiveness.
As a teenager, I played in numerous bands as the lead singer and guitarist, and was heavily influenced by bands like Led Zeppelin, The Yardbirds, Jimi Hendrix, B.B.King, Chuck Berry, Bob Segar and countless others. I started doing drugs and hanging out with the the kids who liked to party... I was in fact one of the boys your mother would warn you not to hang out with.
My senior year in high school didn't go well; my father and I just couldn't relate to each other... I dropped out of high school and hitch-hiked across the U.S.(not once but twice) living day to day just trying to survive. I didn't have time to play music - but it was always in my heart - and I was following the bands and music being played on the radio.
I was later asked if I would like to tour as the Rd. Manager for a nationally know band: THE FROST. (with Dick Wagner) That led to me touring the U.S. and meeting and being backstage with the biggest rock bands & artists at that time. Jeff Beck/Rod Stewart, B.B.King, Jimi Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac - just to name a few. This was to serve me well later when God called me to minister in music as a Christian artist. Seeing the dark side of the secular music industry, on the road and backstage caused me to look at the world of rock stars and all the fame and glitter differently... Finally, my love affair with the world was coming to an end.
Living on the street with nothing to touring the U.S. - living in Holiday Inns taught me some valuable lessons about life. I learned that all of us have one thing in common - we are all sinners. We all are guilty of breaking God's commandments and falling short of His glory. Not long after that I gave my life to Jesus Christ in my mother's kitchen - I have never been the same...
A.D. / After dying to sin After surrendering my life to Jesus - everything changed! The world around me still looked the same - but inside of me - there was a transformation that had begun - and continues even now as I write this... I began to read and study the Bible, and attend church where I became involved in the Praise & Worship.
I started writing new songs about God and anything and everything that was on my heart. I was soon playing at coffeehouse's and event's as a soloist where I would sing and share my testimony of how God had saved me out of a life of rebellion and confusion.
Since giving my life to Jesus Christ - I've been involved in nearly every facet of Christian music - from being the co-director of The Lightroom/a coffeehouse, talk show host of the weekly live program - Fact or Fable -owning GODSONGS recording studio here in Michigan, and being the lead singer for numerous Christian bands. The most notable of the bands I've been with are A NEW DAY, & LAZARUS. Both bands were headline acts, and allowed me to travel and see how powerful anointed music is when presented to a live audience. God has blessed me to be able to record and distribute 18 albums, which are now available on most music platforms and digital stores around the world.
GODSONGSUSA.COM - My wife and I opened a Christian recording studio in 2009, and have been recording audio/video works with bands/artists/singer-songwriters from all over the world. We just recently opened our Record Label : GODSONGS RECORDS and we are excited about the talented and gifted artists/songwriters/musicians that in just a short time have come and joined us here on our mission to create "beautiful & powerful" works that honor God, Family & Country. ANA CHAPMAN, Singer-songwriter extraordinaire. We are excited to introduce this amazing woman who creates music so rich and powerful for the Kingdom of God that she is certain to become one of Christianity's greatest ambassadors for Christ. This anointed handmaiden of The Most High has already reached over 50 million people; with a simple message: Jesus Christ/Yeshua - is the Messiah, the Savior and King of kings! We know her life, music, videos and lyrics will change people's lives as they are in fact borne out of the very heart of God. A novel cannot contain all of the miracles from our Savior that continue to mold my life and faith. I have had my
car flipped to miss oncoming traffic when I was pushed out of my lane, gone up hill with an empty tank of gas,
healed from cancer, the list is long. I believe an angel even changed my tire just before going over the Mississippi
River where there isn’t any road shoulder.
The most important miracle is running to the alter Sept 5,1982 and giving my heart to Christ. I have always loved
singing and started writing songs in grade school. My dad was abusive, understatement, and would yell at me
when I sang. I became very shy about singing in front of people. However, through a series of situations and my
beloved Pastor Joe Simmons, I started to sing my songs.
Now, several decades and albums and a musical later I am still singing and writing as I watch the Lord expand
my tent, even using the musical to launch a new radio station, JEWISH MESSIAH RADIO. I pray you are blessed
and grow in the grace of Christ.
When all is said and done and I leave this rock, I want it to be said of me that I loved the Lord. And through my music and life, I pray I strengthen your love for Him as well, and that many receive Yeshua/Jesus Christ, as their personal Savior and Lord, and that the fruit remains as we hear those wondrous words:

PERSONAL BACKGROUND INFORMATION
I write all of my own songs. I have ministered in the streets of Dallas's Deep Ellum district and in the Knesset, Israel. I have directed choirs, adult, youth, and children. I have been involved in theatre since high school. Worked at the Westgate Dinner Theatre in college... Singing, dancing, acting. Have been dancing since I was 2. Ballet to Ballroom... Even at the University of Michigan!!!! I have written poetry and prose since my freshman year and was the poet laureate. Have won song writing awards.... The musical has been aired in its entirety dozens of times every year for the last five on multiple radio stations during Passover and Easter. If I combine the different platforms my music is on such as YouTube, n1m, Spotify, etc... My songs have reached over 50 million people around the world. Most importantly SOULS have been saved! I had the opportunity years ago to sign with a major label at the time. I prayed. Freely we have received. Freely give. This is not to judge any one else, but I believe the Lord told me to be a tentmaker and that He would provide.
I have several recorded albums, and thousands of songs in my files. You can only record so many... But currently working on a new album and rewriting songs for the movie where I originally used three songs by other artists.

BENJAMIN THOMAS, is a man whose songs are amazing! This man loves God, and his passion for Jesus comes through loud and clear in every song he has written...
Ben recorded his album: WINGS OF LOVE, here at GODSONGSUSA and it was then that I discovered this man's unique talent for writing powerful songs that cross a wide spectrum of styles and genres; which is something I can relate to as a fellow songwriter myself. Benjamin has it all, the voice, the melodies and lyrics that only a few artists have. We know you will love his songs and his love for God and people will be evident as you listen to this man's music.
Benjamin, has been singing in churches, coffeehouses, parks, and too many venues for me to list here. His years of experience as a musician/songwriter are obvious whenever he is asked to sing or minister. What is not so obvious is Benjamin's ability and gifts to minister God's word to those who attend his concerts; or are somewhere he is performing & playing his music. Benjamin loves to lead people in praise & worship, and he can make a song go deep into the hearts of listeners as he shares what a song is all about... Taking a person into the depths of how a song came to be or what the story was that gave birth to it - are some of the things that make Benjamin's songs (and live appearances) so great!
It is an honor to have Benjamin join us here at GODSONGS RECORDS, and my wife count him and his wife Kathy as dear friends who we are blessed to know and do ministry with. My hope is that Benjamin will come back to our studio soon, to record his next album. This man's songs need to be heard around the world; and I look forward to our next project together. I’ve played guitar since I was 7 years old when my mom taught me a
few notes on her old 1930’s Gibson L-00 which I still own.The rest has
been self taught through many years of effort. Playing guitar and looking
for my place in this world lead me down many wrong paths that nearly
killed me. I was so lost until Jesus rescued me.
Born again in January 1981, I was completely and permanently
delivered from all addictions and bondage. Jesus filled me with the Holy
Spirit June of that year. Since that day
I’ve always had a passion to win
souls for Jesus.
Immediately the Lord started giving me songs to glorify His name. I go and play them anywhere the Lord opens a door. My songs and style include different genres from blues to folk and rock while retaining an old school vibe.
My nick name has always been Blackie since I was 6 years old. God gave me the name BLAXE from a dream on 10-29-2019 and the scripture Jeremiah 51:20. It is a combination of my last name Black and
my guitar (axe). I produce my own music at home with the computer and Logic Pro
software. Drums, bass, keys and accompanying instruments with my own vocals.

TESTIMONY
Growing up in the church I always knew that God was real and existed. I actually felt God's presence one time going to a summer church camp when I was in 7th grade. But I had always been curious about a lot of things. I never had answers to things that I wanted answered.
Around the same time my aunt passed away unexpectedly. My friends in school started passing away as well. I also had to have a major back surgery around this time at 15 years old. With all of this physical and emotional pain all of this made me very sad and angry. I started going down a wrong path at this time due to feeling lonely and confused besides feeling sad.
We had moved from Southern California to AZ at this time so I never felt grounded with friends. I started getting connected to the wrong friends and crowd. This continued as we moved back to Southern California at the end of my junior year in high school. I was playing baseball at the time at a high level and was looking for it to be my future.
I tried my hand a few different things after I got hurt and baseball was no longer a reality. At this time I was doing a lot of things in the streets and acting crazy. I tried my hand at music and was able to make money off of that for years.
It was rough years following getting married in 2013 divorced in 2023. A lot of things happened. Fast forward to 2019 at 29 years old I was on my way to work when the lights went out. I was rushed to the hospital in a coma. DKA set in and I remained in a coma. When I awoke I couldn't walk, talk and my brain wasn't working correctly. As I was recovering one day in the hospital I had fallen on the floor trying to use the restroom. In that moment feeling defeated, broken and full of self pity God spoke to me and said I can either get up and keep trying or just lay there and watch my life and everything go by. I decided to keep pushing. I was told by doctors I either wouldn't live through the whole ordeal or I would be a vegetable and would be on dialysis the rest of my life along with many other issues. Through God's grace and glory I was able to recover. I came out of it all with nerve damage to my left side but that is nothings compared to what they said the future would look for me.
All of these circumstances gave me a strong sense of knowing that God has been there and working in my life with the miracle that I was blessed with in this and other near death experiences. He put on my heart to get music with His message and His purpose out to people. I am following his purpose for me and am excited to see what he has in store.

At a young age, Rod was trained as a classical pianist with Josie Roberts, a retired Bethune Cookman University music professor. He learned to play bass guitar, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, drums, French horn and percussion.
His professional performing career began early. In his teens, Rod started as a backup musician for various night club acts in Miami, Florida.
His first professional concert appearance was with Earth, Wind, & Fire in Miami in the 1970’s. Since then Rod has appeared with War, Mtume, the late Phyllis Hyman, Stevie B, Shirley Brown, and John Edwards of the Spinners.
Rod’s first professional recording was done at T. K. Productions in Miami, (home of Timmy Thomas, K.C. & the Sunshine Band and Betty Wright) in the 1970’s.
Rod has recorded professionally at Sunshine Sound, (owned by the Sunshine Band), Criteria Recording Studio, Crystal Sound and Entertainment and at the Taft Building in Hollywood, CA. He has also recorded with Gong Sound Studios, Ikus Records as well as two studios that he owned.
Rod has written music for Howard Johnson of Niteflight, Stevie B, Jimmy Bo Horn, GreyBoy of Ubiquity Records, De La Soul, RZA of Wu Tang Clan and for songs that he recorded. Currently he has three songs playing in 30 countries around the world for which he is receiving royalties, and have been for the past 20 years.

Rodney's group - ( THE MIGHTY RYEDERS ) has a global following in at least 30 countries...it was 70 countries due to SAMPLING BY DE-LA-SOUL and RZA of WU-TANG-CLAN out of New York.....His rendition of the great Gospel hymn ( HOW GREAT THOU ART ) has over 100,000 STREAMS and counting. 2. NO REQUIREMENT TO PAY ANY ROYALTIES ON ANY MUSIC/SONGS RECORDED HERE AT GODSONGS. (all residual income from the sale of your music/videos is yours 100%)
3. FREEDOM to leave for any reason with no strings attached. Our relationship with artists/bands/songwriters is similar to any relationship with people. We know everyone has to follow their heart, and we respect that.
4. PAY AS YOU GO - Any services or products delivered or done with our studio are paid for upon completion. Our fees are well below industry standards.
THAT'S IT.
We only want one thing in return besides any money exchanged for services/products delivered from us.
1. Put our logo/link to our site somewhere on your music sites, and acknowledge our label as who you're working with when asked or when that is necessary. (more logos are being created to choose from)
Should anything change, for any reason; both parties are free to stop working together for any reason. This is a win / win situation for our studio and anyone who works with our label. We have attached a png/logo for you to use, and you can enlarge or shrink it to your taste. Michael help me every step of the way. In the recording process, co-producing, and engineering.
